Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high standard of learning, development, and care for children aged 0–5 years.
- Ensure a safe environment for children, staff, and others.
- Develop partnerships with parents and caregivers to increase their involvement in their child’s development.
- Complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship.
- Attend training sessions and complete assigned tasks.
- Work as part of a team and liaise with the mentor and assessor.
- Help develop and maintain good relationships with parents, teachers, and nursery staff.
- Maintain professionalism in appearance and conduct.
Main Activities:
- Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating educational environment indoors and outdoors.
- Deliver an appropriate play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements.
- Work in accordance with The Homestead Childcare’s policies and procedures.
- Plan activities to support children’s individual progress.
- Act as a key person for assigned children.
- Maintain proper records, including attendance, accidents, incidents, and risk assessments.
- Liaise closely with parents and caregivers, exchanging information about children’s progress.
- Work in partnership with senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the Homestead’s aims and objectives.
Required Education: Level 2/3
Salary: £9.50–£10.42 per hour
Holiday: Based on the hours worked (statutory minimum)
Preferable:
- Clean driving license
